It has taken a long time but finally the world as a whole are accepting that ancient techniques such as Yoga can definitely do wonders for your health.

Yoga is taking the world by storm and a huge industry is building from it. You can pay literally thousands to take a full yoga course when the reality of the matter is that most of the basics can be easily learned and performed at home using very inexpensive equipment.

This book gives you all the basics and fundamentals you need to learn about yoga. Performing Yoga can increase your general fitness, health, flexibility and aids weight loss.

If you want to see the kind of thing you can start with here are some basic Yoga positions.

Beginner Yoga techniques are very very easy to learn and you will start benefiting right away. Even if you have never attempted yoga before these techniques are simple so that is no problem.

The Easy Pose (Sukhasana)

This is a pose that is intended mainly for Meditation. It helps gain an inner calm and straightens your spine, It also helps to open up the hips and relieve your tiredness. This simple exercise is extremely easy.

  1. Sit yourself down on the floor, a Yoga mat or even a soft pillow to start.
  2. Cross your legs as normal with your feet beneath your knees.
  3. Put your hands firmly on your knees
  4. Straighten your body and head.
  5. Close your eyes and concentrate on the pose, you will feel a calm rise over you.

Gentle Shoulder Lifts

For many stress and tension is held in the neck and shoulders. This simple yoga technique helps to ease your stress and tension in these areas.

  1. Stand up keeping your whole body aligned, straight and well postured.
  2. Slowly raise the first shoulder and then drop it down.
  3. Slowly raise the other shoulder and then drop it down.
  4. Slowly raise both of your shoulders and then drop them down.
  5. Repeat this until you feel relived a little, keep going at a nice rhythmic pace
